Class Descriptions
Wright Health and Fitness offers a range of fitness classes to meet your needs. In addition to cardio, strength and flexibility, we place a strong emphasis on community -- we have a good time together!
Yoga Classes
Core Strength and Vinyasa Yoga - this class strives to support the athlete in all of us! If you play tennis, ski, ride horses, run - whatever - use this class to round out your cross training with strength, flexibility, balance and concentration. A great relaxation finishes class with a recovery process that supports energy and awareness for the rest of the day! Elizabeth uses props and other tools to make this class a challenge for all. This class is for the physically active person. Join us Mondays 9:30-10:45am.
Morning Yoga with Marti Foster - every class Marti teaches is unique. Plan to be inspired and to move thoroughly. Marti's expertise makes even the beginner feel like this yoga class is an energy dance. Wednesdays and Fridays 9:15 - 10:30am.
Strength Classes
Dawn Patrol Boot Camp - Join Denise Gittens for a day-changing workout! She weaves cardio intervals with strength work, and some stretches with a great balance of encouragement and personal attention. Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:15 - 7:00am.
Body Conditioning - is a spicy blend of pilates, bootcamp, and the latest techniques in east-west body training. Add a dash of balance and agility training and you've got one of the hottest trends in fitness. Tuesdays and Thursdays 9:30 - 10:30am.
ZUMBA! Cardio - Aerobic Dance Classes
Want to have fun an get fit in a way that is so fun you hardly know you're working out? We're featuring Zumba! Zumba is a dance-exercise class with Latin roots. We'll honor all sorts of music from around the world and burn calories in this fun and innovative workout phenomenon. Rounding out the class is the occasional American and European pop song, strength and conditioning work and a wonderful stretch. These classes have a friendly, fun group of regular attendees. Come get energized and revitalized! Monday evenings 6:00 -7:15pm at Portola Valley Town Center* and Wednesday evenings 6:15 - 7:15pm at Ladera Oaks. (Except for Home swim meet nights July 7th and 14th.)
*Participating in classes at Portola Valley Town Center requires advanced registration. No drop-ins are allowed.
